Chapter Philanthropy

The ladies of the Epsilon Lambda Chapter participate in various service and philanthropic events throughout the Greek and Tech community. Each semester our members complete service hours outside of chapter events. Through this our members are striving to live through the words in our creed that our founders said so long ago. "To lend to those less fortunate a helping had." 

Every year the Greek community holds the annual "Greeks Give Back Program" during this event we are benefiting the Russellville Elementary School's Backpack Program. This year the community as a whole raised over 16,000 food items for the schools, equivalent to over $20,000. 

Other events the Epsilon Lambda Chapter participates in is our annual Philanthropy Week. This is during the Spring semester, and this year we raised over $1,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals! Events throughout the week consist of "Pie a Phi Mu," "Prize Punch" "Java with Jerry the Bulldog" and more! Our most notable being the Miracle Man pageant. Men from campus compete in a variety of categories including formal, swim, theme-wear, and talent to win the coveted Miracle Man title! This event is a load of laughs and a favorite among many on campus. 

Throughout the school year the Epsilon Lambda Chapter contributes by donations of school supplies, puzzles, games, and tie blankets. This past spring we also participated in a local organization's annual Hygiene Drive to benefit the kids at Russellville Schools. Together along with many other teams we raised thousands of dollars in items for these kids, and managed to win the trophy for the most items! This event is one our favorites to compete in each year and helping the local kids holds a place near and dear to our heart.
